TUTORING POLICIES

<\/p>\n

CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY CLIENT\/STUDENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lessons not attended by the student will still be charged.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY TUTOR<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Tutor may cancel lessons by giving 24 hours prior notice to the Client\/Student in which case no fees shall be incurred. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

LATE ARRIVAL<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Fees are calculated according to the times stipulated in the schedule and no adjustment shall be made for time lost because of late arrival by the Student. Students who arrive late will only be tutored for the remainder of the scheduled session. There will be no prolonged sessions.<\/b><\/p>\n

\n<\/p>

DROP OFFS <\/b><\/p>\n

While allowed, the guardian must not drop the child off before their session and must pick up right after session. Students must not be left unattended before\/after their session. Tutors and staff are not responsible for students outside of session time. <\/p>\n

NO-SHOW POLICY<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Students who are not present at the pre-determined time and location when the Tutor arrives or who are more than 15<\/u><\/strong> minutes late are considered no-shows<\/u><\/strong>. If the Student is a no-show, they are still responsible for payment for the tutoring session.  No discounts or refunds shall be given for lessons not attended by the Student.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

MISSED SESSIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Because the tutoring sessions are designed to improve academic performance, it is essential that the Student attend regularly and on time.  If there are 3 or more cancellations, no-shows, or tardies in any 1-month period, the client will be charged a $50 Convenience Fee<\/u> <\/strong>for each occurrence. <\/p>\n

Due to the number of sessions we have, we are unable to do makeup lessons at this time. If this changes, guardians will be notified.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

INCLEMENT WEATHER<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the event of inclement weather (snow, sleet, hail, flooding, tornado, hurricane, severe thunderstorm), we will follow Fort Smith Public School system’s decision on whether or not in-office sessions will be held. If lessons have been canceled, then work will be available on Google Classroom. Zoom lessons will go as planned unless there are connection issues. <\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

TERMINATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This tutoring agreement may be terminated\/changed by either party at any time, with the understanding that there are no refunds and all unpaid bills must be paid in full . <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

REFUND POLICY<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Please be aware that we have a No Refund Policy<\/u><\/strong> for all services.  Refund requests, including, but not limited to, those made by Students  who cannot attend or use services, regardless of the student\u2019s reason(s), and regardless of whether the Student provides us with advance notice, will not be honored.  Should you choose to cancel a prepaid<\/i> lesson<\/em> after attending your first session, you will be billed for the remaining amount.  Exceptions may be made only in cases in which a Student cannot attend due to serious illness or the death of an immediate member of the Student\u2019s family.  In these cases, official documentation may be required.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

OBLIGATIONS OF THE STUDENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

  • The Student undertakes to assist the Tutor in identifying problem areas in which the Student needs specific tutoring.<\/li>\n
  • The Student agrees to be prepared for every session by having all materials, utensils, homework, etc. ready and available in the designated tutoring location prior to the Tutor arriving.<\/li>\n
  • The Student agrees that assignments, exercises or homework form an integral part of tutoring and undertakes to complete such work timely.<\/li>

    <\/p>\n

    OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARENT\/GUARDIAN<\/strong><\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

      \n
    • The parent\/guardian undertakes to be responsible for the student\u2019s conduct and character during the tutoring sessions including promptness, respectful behavior, and staying on task.<\/li>\n
    • The parent\/guardian is responsible for initiating any communication with the tutor.<\/li>\n
    • The parent\/guardian is responsible for getting the student to the session on time and for picking up the student promptly as soon as the session has ended.<\/li>\n
    • The parent\/guardian agrees to ensure that the student has completed all work assigned by the tutor within the timeframe given.<\/li>\n
    • The parent\/guardian will pay in a timely manner and understands there are no refunds. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      <\/p>\n

      NO WARRANTIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      While we endeavor to provide the best educational services possible, the Tutor makes no promises or warranties with regards to a Student\u2019s performance as a result of any tutoring provided. In no event shall our obligations, expressed or implied, to any customer or site user, exceed those obligations specifically noted herein.<\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      RELAXATION OF TERMS<\/strong><\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      No relaxation, indulgence, waiver or release by any party of any of the rights in terms of this agreement on one occasion shall prevent the subsequent enforcement of such rights and shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any subsequent breach of any of the terms.<\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      AGREEMENT FOR PAYMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      Invoices are sent on the 15th<\/b> of each month for the following month. Payment shall be made monthly by the 5th or late fees will be invoiced.  <\/p>\n

      Payment made after the 5th will be charged a $50 late fee.  <\/b><\/p>\n

      WHOLE AGREEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

      <\/p>\n

      This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties with regard to the subject matter thereof and the parties waive the right to rely on any alleged expressed or implied provision not contained herein. Any alteration to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.<\/p>\n
